Starwood is running a new promotion called Take a Spin and Win, where you get 1 spin per day and can win SPG points.
Hopefully this will be a better promotion than La Quinta’s, which started off well and then all of a sudden has taken a nose dive (no points given out for Carolyn or I the last 2 days).
One nice thing about this promotion is that Starwood points (SPG) are much more useful than La Quinta Rewards points.
- It only takes 2000 points for the lowest category Starwood hotel (on a weekend)
- Starwood hotels are much nicer than La Quinta hotels
- You can also transfer SPG points to most airlines, and if you transfer 20,000 or more, you get a 25% bonus.
Looks like you can ‘spin’ once per day per SPG account, though at least for today’s spin, it gave me a 2nd bonus spin.
