Many times over the course of the last few years, I’ve turned to my family and said “We are leading a ridiculous life”. Thanks to some combination of miles and points, this travel blog, good luck and hard work, I’ve had some experiences which I never would have thought possible a few years ago. I mean… showering on a plane, taking a helicopter ride over the Mediterranean, traveling with my family on a $6500 train ride, as well as visiting Seattle, Yellowstone, Disney World and more! It’s pretty crazy.
I’ll be on the CBS Sunday Morning Show April 9th
So last week I got a call from a producer of the CBS Sunday Morning Show last week. Apparently they are doing a show focused on finance and they wanted to do a segment on miles and points and had gotten my name from an article in Bloomberg a few months ago that I was in. I believe The Points Guy will also be in this segment, but I’m not 100% sure
We talked for a little bit and when he heard that our family of 8 were just about to leave on a trip to California, he decided to send a crew out to film us. They were here last week and it was pretty wild. Hey at least it made us clean our house 🙂
I believe the show airs from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, but, as they say, check your local listings for the time in your area :-). My segment is supposed to be only 4-5 minutes and I’m not sure which part of the show it will be on.
They interviewed me for about 30 minutes and shot another 60-90 minutes of random footage of our family, so I have no idea what they’re going to say or how they’ll edit me. The producer seemed very excited when I showed him my binder full of credit cards, so I’m guessing that will make an appearance.
