Yesterday, I received an email from Rapid Rewards offering 4x points per $1 spent at gas stations. This offer is good on purchases of up to $2,000 which is enough for 8,000 Rapid Rewards points. This is a pretty good bonus and definitely worth signing up for if you regularly use one of the Southwest cards or are trying to boost your Rapid Rewards balance. Keep in mind that the Chase Freedom card is currently offering 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in purchases at gas stations and streaming services through the end of September as part of their Q3 2019 rotating bonus categories. If you pair the Freedom card with the Chase Sapphire Reserve (PWaC’s 2019 Card Madness Winner), you will get more benefit by maximizing the Freedom bonus and then transferring the UR points earned to your Rapid Rewards account. However, this is a worthwhile bonus to try to sign up for as it only takes 30 seconds.
How to Activate the Bonus
I received the email on August 12. Interestingly, the offer provides a timeline of 7/1/2019 through 9/30/2019 but this is the first I had heard of it. To be eligible for this bonus, you must log on to the website referenced in the email (or hopefully the link below if you have not received the email) and enroll by 09/30/19 11:59 p.m. ET. I saw no mention of it being a targeted offer but as always YMMW. I sent this link to several friends and the results have been mixed. Here’s the link that I received with the terms and conditions at the bottom of the page.
Good luck and let us know if the offer worked for you!

These are definitely targeted. I tried for a friend with a SW Plus card and they were not allowed to register. There was one for Hyatt earlier that I was eligible for but my husband and friend were not allowed to register with their Hyatt cards. But then last week my husband received an email about his Hyatt card and this time it did allow him to register.
These are always worth a shot since it is so easy to attempt to sign up and a nice bonus when they do work. I’m glad that you were able to take advantage of a Hyatt offer!
