One of the most frustrating things about flying is when the power outlets on the plane don’t work. It seems like on the majority of the flights that I take, I can’t get a good connection when I try to plug in my laptop. It’s even worse if I have a laptop that has a big power brick, since the heaviness of the brick seems to pull the plug out of the plane outlet even worse. So when I saw a product that proposes to fix the problem of loose outlets, I thought it was worth a try. Please note that all links on this (and any post) include my Amazon affiliate link. Snug Plug Loose Outlet Fix
I came across the Snug Plug, which proposes to be a fix for loose outlets. It consists of a small plastic piece which fits into a loose outlet. Once you have the Snug Plug in place, it helps to keep your plug in the outlet. Right now you can get a 10-pack of Snug Plugs on Amazon
Most of the reviews on Amazon are positive, though there are a few negative reviews that say that it doesn’t work. We have used these a few times at our house, since it’s an older house and sometimes has loose outlets.
The Bottom Line – Fixing Loose Outlets On Planes
Having a loose power outlet on a plane is super frustrating, and the Snug Plug is a device that purports to fix the problem. With a small plastic piece that goes into the outlet, it can help keep your laptops, cell phone chargers and other electronic devices in the outlet and charged. No more chargers falling out of the power outlets on a plane because they’re super loose.

why tell us about it before you try it?
Waiting to hear how it actually works.
Looks like that works for a 120v outlet which is a waste IMHO – you can adjust the 120v prongs slightly inward or outward to make them try to fit tighter. The bigger thing would be the USB plugs – anyone have a solution for loose USB outlets?
Hah the simple fix is to bring your own power bank. Only a fool would rely on an airline for functional power outlets onboard.
SO you were more thirsty for the clicks on the affiliate link than to actually try it before recommending people to buy it. Got it.
Your readers are ONLY useful to you if they buy what your pushing, sight unseen. Cool. Cool.
It has 11,000 reviews on Amazon (average 4.3/5). Would one more from me really be that meaningful to you?
An alternative for air travel is to take an EU or UK plug adapter. They usually fit more snugly into an airplane outlet than a US plug does, then you plug your US device into the adapter.
