Recently I had a departing flight from San Jose airport (SJC) and had the opportunity to visit The Club SJC, which is the Priority Pass SJC airport lounge. I have been to many “The Clubs” in different airports throughout the world, and they all share some similarities. You’ll have basic food, seating, wifi and not much else.

The Club SJC is a Priority Pass lounge, so if you have a Priority Pass membership (likely from a credit card), you’ll have complimentary access to The Club SJC.
Priority Pass SJC / San Jose airport lounge location
There are actually 2 different Priority Pass SJC lounges, both in Terminal 1. They are both branded as “The Club SJC” – one is next to Gate A8 and one is next to Gate A15. The security entrance at SJC airport is near Gate A12 before the terminal splits into two halves. So no matter which way your gate is, you will have a lounge option.
I was flying out of Gate A10, so I went to The Club SJC Gate A8 which is located directly across from (wait for it) Gate A8. Both The Club SJC lounges open at 5 a.m. local time. The one at Gate A8 closes at 1 p.m. while the one near Gate A15 stays open until 8 p.m. So if you have an afternoon or evening flight, you’ll need to go to The Club SJC location that is outside Gate A15.
The Club Priority Pass San Jose airport lounge seating
There is a wide variety of seating options available at The Club SJC Gate A8
One nice thing about the seating was that they had a variety of different configurations of seating
The Club Lounge SJC at gate A8 was much bigger than most other The Club locations. I asked at the front desk and the lounge agent told me that The Club SJC at Gate A15 is actually even bigger. I think that these might be the largest The Club locations that I have ever been to. Additionally, most if not all of the seat had power outlets as well as USB chargers.
San Jose airport lounge review: food
This San Jose Airport (SJC) lounge had basic availability for food – there were canned Coke soft drinks available as well as coffee, tea and basic cold pastries. I was there during breakfast time (right when the lounge opened at 5 a.m.) so I am not sure what the food offerings would be later in the day.
There is also a bar available, though as you can see from the sign, it did not open until 6 a.m. I guess if you want to booze SUPER early, you’re out of luck 🙂
There were signs indicating that you could scan a QR code to order food directly from your seat
I tried to do that but was told that it was not currently available. I asked at the front desk when I was leaving and they said that it is just the food that is already out – i.e. there is no extra food that you can order. So I don’t know that this is an amenity that is super useful since it’s really not that difficult to go get your own food.
The Club SJC airport lounge wifi
The Priority Pass SJC wifi in The Club SJC Gate A8 Lounge was lightning fast
As you might imagine given the speed test above, I had no Internet problems at all. I’m not sure if it was only this fast because there was hardly anyone else in the lounge when I was there, or if The Club SJC wifi is always this good.
Priority Pass SJC / San Jose airport lounge amenities
The San Jose Airport The Club Lounge SJC does not have much in the way of amenities. In addition to the complimentary wifi and seating, the only other thing you can really count as an amenity are the in-club restrooms, including one restroom / shower room.
In any case, I rate the The Club SJC lounge quite good and I would definitely recommend it if you are departing San Jose Airport (SJC) with a Priority Pass card.

If I am fling first class on Alaska Airlines can I have free access to the airport vip lounge?
Neil – flying first class on Alaska does not give you access to this particular lounge. You will need a Priority Pass membership (comes with several credit cards) or to pay the fee. If you are flying first class with Alaska, you may have access to some of Alaska’s airport lounges. You can check Alaska’s lounge policy here
Can I access the lounge here on arrival?
Yes – if you have access to the lounge you can access it with either your departing or arriving boarding pass
