I had a recent flight on American Airlines originating out of Atlanta and decided to visit The Club ATL. This was the site of my first ever airport lounge visit (back in September 2014) and so it was fun to stop by again.

The Club ATL airport lounge location

The The Club ATL is in Atlanta’s Terminal F which is also the international terminal. All gates at ATL are connected airside via the Plane Train, so you can easily visit The Club no matter where your flight is. Just make sure that you leave yourself enough time. If you are originating in Atlanta (as I was) and don’t need to check in, then I recommend you follow the signs for the International Terminal. The Club is on the mezzanine level right after you clear security in the International terminal. There was no problem with me going through security on the international side (Terminal F) and having a domestic flight.

The Club ATL is open daily from 06:00 – 22:00. Despite the line in the picture below, when I visited, there was not a line (the picture is from when I left), and I was able to get right in. They do have an access policy that you can only get into the lounge 3 hours before your flight, and I did see the lounge attendant turn someone away for that.

The Club ATL Lounge Access

The main way that you’ll get access to The Club ATL is with a Priority Pass membership, which comes with various credit cards. You can also pay $50 for a day pass, which I would highly not recommend.

The Club ATL airport lounge seating

The Club ATL is fairly large, and it has extensive seating options. However when I was there, it was quite crowded.

I did manage to find a spot in the “business center” area which was relatively quiet. I did notice that there was a section roped off for premium cabin travelers of British Airways, Qatar, Turkish and Lufthansa.

The Club ATL airport lounge review: food and drinks

The Club ATL food was decent  but not as good as international premium lounges.

I was there in the afternoon (between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.) so I was there during the all-day portion of the menu.

The Club ATL airport lounge wifi

Unfortunately, The Club ATL wifi was not great. I was actually not able to connect to it on my laptop for some reason, even though I could see the network and was putting in the correct password. I tried for awhile but eventually just gave up and connected to the wider ATL Airport wifi.

The Club ATL airport lounge amenities

The Club ATL does not have much in the way of amenities. There are restrooms and lockers towards the back of the lounge

a hallway with lockers and a picture on the wall

as well as a couple of shower rooms, though I did not try one out.

There is also plenty of charging including both electrical outlets and USB charging.

The Bottom Line – The Club ATL Review

The Club ATL airport lounge was a pleasant way to spend my time in Atlanta. It’s nothing super amazing, and I certainly wouldn’t pay $50 for it, but if you have access to it through a credit card, I would say that it is worth visiting if you are connecting in or originating in Atlanta.
