I first did a The Club CVG lounge review back in early 2016 but since I’ve been through it several times since then, I thought it was worth a chance to update my Club CVG lounge review. The Club CVG is open for Priority Pass members, membership in which is given for having an American Express Platinum card, among many other cards. But my most recent trips had either flown out of a surrounding airport or flown on Delta from CVG. The Amex Platinum ALSO gives you access to Delta Sky Clubs when flying on Delta, and since Delta used to be a CVG hub, the Delta Sky Club at CVG is pretty nice.
Unless I am flying American or Delta (which fly out of Terminal B), The Club CVG is generally my go-to pre-departure CVG Priority Pass lounge. If I am flying out of Terminal B at CVG, I usually visit the Escape Lounge CVG.
The Club CVG hours and location
The Club at CVG is located in Concourse A, between gates A8 and A10.
The Club at CVG hours are from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days a week. One time I had a very early flight (7:15 a.m.) and we got there a few minutes before 6, so we waited out in the terminal for a few minutes before the agent let us in.
The Club at CVG Review – Food
The Club at CVG is pretty small. Here are 2 pictures of The Club CVG. First the “snack” area which had a variety of pre-packaged snacks and such, along with fruits and other foods, which rotate out depending on the time of day.
For drinks there is a self-serve soda machine (pictured) as well as a variety of juices. There is also a note that “the concierge will serve you a variety of beer, wine and spirits”, if that is your thing – 6 a.m. seemed a little early for me 😛
During lunch and dinner time, they rotate the snacks and bring out a few other things, including caramel popcorn that my kids really enjoy
The Club CVG Lounge Wifi And Amenities
The Club CVG wifi is decent – here is a speed test from my most recent visit, and I’ve never had a problem doing light browsing or even watching videos
There are a few TVs and some tarmac views, but there’s not much else in the way of amenities. There isn’t even a restroom inside the lounge – instead you’ll need to go out and use the restroom in the terminal (it’s fairly nearby).
The Club CVG lounge review – seating
Here’s a view from the same spot, rotated by 180 degrees. As you can see, those 2 shots encompass pretty much the entirety of The Club at CVG. There is a “quiet room” to the left as well as a TV with some seating. There are also a few tables with chairs available for working – there is seating for about 30 people.

Here’s a shot of the “quiet” room. A few times when our family of 8 has been here, we’ve taken up this entire spot :-).
In the hour or so that we were at The Club CVG, we were the only ones in the entire lounge. While I wouldn’t say that the amenities are great, The Club CVG does provide a bit of quiet and some light refreshments if you need them!

I’ve used this lounge a few times. It’s definitely not big, but quiet and agents there are always very helpful.
As far as “the concierge will serve you a variety of beer, wine and spirits” – I think it’s never too early for a mimosa, especially in the case of early departure with kids in tow 🙂
I had the pleasure of using this lounge last November when heading back to our tiny desert island Kingdom….. it was small, but bright, quiet, and the ladies that worked there are some of the very best in the business….. warm and welcoming but not obtrusive. And light snacks were exactly what we had in mind, so it suited me and my sister well.
Yes – I totally agree! It’s not as “fancy” as some of the other lounges out there (especially internationally), but for what it is, it’s not bad. Plus, it’s the only lounge game out there (unless you’re flying Delta and/or have access to the Sky Club in Concourse B!) I’d rather have this than nothing, which is what I get if I am flying out of any of the surrounding airports (IND, CMH, DAY, etc)
We were there in August. While not too crowded and certainly comfortable, a few people thought it was ok to hold conference calls and video chats for all to hear. I will never understand why people won’t use headsets and do not understand the concept of “inside voices”. We do not want to know your business!

Probably one of the worse lounges out there. Is small, the food is so basic, and to get a drink you have to hunt down the attendant. I would skip this place, and use the Escape Lounge.
You should try the IASS Hawaii Lounge in HNL – my vote for the worst Priority Pass lounge in the United States. But you’re right that this one is pretty basic. I don’t think The Escape Lounge CVG is that much better though, and IMO not worth swapping terminals
