I received an email on Friday from American Airlines to fast track to AAdvantage elite status. Under the offer, much lower amounts of elite qualified miles (EQMs) and elite qualified dollars (EQDs) are required to reach different levels of AA elite status.
Details of the Offer include:
- Fly on American and other select airlines and earn the required Elite Qualifying Miles (EQMs) and Elite Qualifying Dollars (EQDs) between the date of registration and May 26, 2017.
- Registration is required prior to travel and no later than March 8, 2017.
- Once qualified, status is good through January 31, 2018.
Terms of the offers are shown below:
The offer is targeted and requires a promotional code to register. However, I don’t plan to take advantage of this offer as I don’t have any American flights until the end of the year. My Alaska MVP Gold status will give me access to preferred seats on American Airlines this year, and that serves all my needs.
Did you receive any elite fast track offer from American Airlines?

Do you have the code?
Yes I do. But I don’t think others can use it?
Someone should post so we can try
This sounds exciting, Sharon! I’m looking forward to receiving an elite fast track offer from American Airlines.
This infuriates me. I worked hard and spent a lot of money on travel in 2016. I’m exec plat and 6 million miles. Under the new rules, my recent flight to Paris only earned half the actual mileage because of the fare. It has all become a game and the real loyal customers get screwed.
