(UPDATE 10/31/2017 – I have closed the PWaC Slack Channel – and While I know that Facebook and Slack are different platforms and that one does not replace the other, I do have a Facebook group where we talk miles and points, if that interests you)
One of the reasons I started the Points With a Crew blog is to help other people learn the “tricks” of how to get miles and points. I maintain a free service to help people that are just starting out in the miles and points world.
If you have questions, I’m happy to help via email to dan at pointswithacrew dot com and you can also reach me on Twitter or Facebook
New Points With a Crew Slack channel
At the Family Travel for Real Life conference, a few of us were talking about how it would be great if we could collaborate more real time about miles and points. In addition to deal sharing and tricks of the trade, sometimes it’s just fun to talk to other people who understand the difference between an AOR, a 3X, or 5/24.
So I created a Points With a Crew Slack channel. We currently have a variety of sub channels, including talk about gift cards, reselling and others.
If you were on the Slack channel last night, you saw the news about the 100K Amex Platinum offer at 5:50 p.m. Eastern time, well before most of the blogs had picked it up, and with plenty of time to apply before it died earlier this morning.
For now, everything is open to all and there are no “secret” channels, though that may change depending on how big things get. The idea for the Slack channel is that it’s a place to talk about things that you might not want to share publicly.
Currently the Points With a Crew Slack channel is invite only but open to everyone – If you’d like an invite, send me an email at dan at pointswithacrew dot com
