Capital One hit the ground running with their transfer partners a few months ago (and dare I say, did quite a bit better than Barclays)!  Starting today, you’ll earn a bonus on Capital One miles transferred to the Flying Blue program.  You can earn Capital One miles with cards like the Venture and Spark Miles, to take advantage of this offer.

Air France KLM Flying Blue Transfer Bonus

The Flying Blue program is very flexible, and currently accommodates all the major transferrable points.  That means if you’re shooting for a big redemption, you can consolidate your Membership Rewards, Ultimate Rewards, ThankYou Points, Capital One miles, AND your Marriott points for that next first class flight.

For the entire month of June, Capital One miles transferred to Flying Blue will net you a 20% bonus.  That means instead of the normal  2,000 Capital One to 1,500 Flying Blue, you’ll get a ratio of 2,000:1,800 Flying Blue miles.

Compare this to the 1:1 point to Flying Blue miles ratio found with Chase, AmEx, and Citi transfers.

Is it worth the switch?  If you’ve been around the blogs long enough, you know you (usually) shouldn’t transfer points speculatively.  That said, Flying Blue often has good promotions, allowing for exceptional value on specific routes or dates.  Pairing this transfer bonus with one of those promotional deals might be a great time to use up your Capital One Miles!
