Spain has generally been the cheapest destination in Europe for flights from the USA this year, and summer is no exception. In particular, Madrid is now showing near “off-season” pricing in July for some flights from major airports across the country. American Airlines and her partners are offering most of these discounts, though United and Delta are matching in some cases; Boston has the best options (see below). Many flights are non-stop as well, making this an even better deal. This could be a great time to plan your summer vacation or a spur-of-the-moment getaway. Departure cities include:
- New York (JFK): from $432
- Miami: from $551 (Delta & Air Europa will match this price on some dates)
- Los Angeles from $639
Boston is a special case, with very limited dates in August from $301 on United, though these may interfere with your family’s school schedule. In July, UA is offering round trips from $504, with AA slightly higher at $538. Norwegian has limited dates as low as $455, but their basic economy does not include meals or checked bags, so take that into account. The other airlines include meals and a checked bag with these fares, though not seat selection. At these prices I would expect these fares to sell out within the next 2 or 3 days, so move quickly if you want to book a bargain Spanish holiday.
