It’s not too early to start planning your summer vacation. In fact, now is a perfect time to search for deals, as airlines are beginning to offer deals for top destinations at heavy discounts. Sale fares just popped up for fights to London in the middle of July, the perfect time to take the entire family to England. Boston has the best deal at $394 round trip on United, meaning you could fly a family of four to Heathrow and back for what you’d have paid for a single summer ticket just a few years ago! New York also has prices as low as $414, with direct flights on Delta from $495.

Both fares are basic economy, but include carry-on bags and meals. Buying up to main cabin is $180 for the United flights and $145 for Delta, so these deals are best for those willing to travel light and sacrifice seat selection. However, Delta allows you to select seats at check-in, and United allows seat purchase prior to check-in, giving you options without “buying up” to main cabin. If you are interested but not sure that you can arrange for your trip, all US marketed fares come with a 24-hour guaranteed refund period, giving you time to create a plan. And you may need to act quickly; a sub-$400 fare to England is a great price even during off months, and these prices may not last long for summer dates.
