Via The Points Guy, Starwood has announced a new airline transfer partner – Korean Air!
Starwood / SPG points will transfer to Korean Air at the regular rate for SPG to airline transfers, at a 1:1 ratio, with a 5,000 bonus for every 20,000 SPG points transferred over (so 20,000 SPG points become 25,000 airline miles). One other thing to note is that there is currently a bonus running for American Airlines through the end of the month, where every 20,000 SPG points will give you 30,000 American Airlines miles

SPG bonus for staying at an Asia hotel
To celebrate the new partnership, Starwood is also offering 1,000 bonus points if you stay at a participating Asia-Pacific hotel through November 12th
You can get this bonus twice (so up to 2,000 SPG points), as well as save 15% at participating SPG restaurants and bars in Korea
Starwood / SPG has been in the news lately with last week’s increasing of the bonus for the SPG American Express to 30,000 points, which I am planning on picking up as part of my upcoming credit card churn

This isn’t huge news since you can already transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards to Korean Air, but it’s always nice to have options!
