FTU bills itself as a way to learn the insider tips, tricks and secrets to using frequent flyer miles, hotel points and credit card rewards in a small group environment. FTU Signature combines high-quality topics and indispensable social networking with like-minded travelers to create an unforgettable attendee experience

FTU Washington DC is coming in a few weeks and the organizers reached out to me with some details as well as an FTU coupon code for $30 off if you’re interested

FTU Signature Washington 2018

FTU Signature is what I think of as more of the “traditional” FTU.  FTU Washington is August 11-12, 2018 at the Crystal City Marriott DCA at 1999 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, Virginia 22202 USA. It is 30,000 Marriott points if you use points but there is also a group rate of $109 for the weekend. FTU lasts the whole weekend and your ticket includes

  • Two days of expert-led sessions in classroom settings on Saturday and Sunday
  • Plated lunch on Saturday and Sunday
  • Internet in the conference rooms

Speakers include

Tickets are $249 though I have codes for $30 off (making your total price $219 – see below).

FTU Washington 2018 promo codes

There is currently one set of FTU Washington 2018 promo codes for $30 off of FTU Washington 2018, using promo code SIZZLE.  This code gives $30 off registration, regularly $249. This code is good through July 20th

In addition to full access to FTU Washington, your ticket purchase gets you

  • One month free of AwardEx – exclusive offer,  they do not publicly sell unlimited subscriptions
  • Friday, August 10 pizza dinner at Fire Works Pizza 2350 Clarendon Blvd, Arlington, VA 22201 (attendees will get a RSVP email prior to the event, limited to first 55 participants to register, includes assorted pizzas, drinks not included.)

Should you go to FTU Washington?

I’ve had fun at conferences like this.  For many of us, we are the only “miles and points” people in our area, so it can be fun to spend time with other people who “get it”.  If you’re starting out, you will probably get tips from the different sessions, but you’re likely to get even MORE value from networking with people before, during and after the sessions. People are more likely to share tips at sessions like this vs. putting them out there on a blog / the Internet

Even people who have been in the miles and points world for awhile are likely to get at least one actionable item in addition to the networking tips
