Recently I was in Columbus Ohio for a conference and needed 1 night of hotel for the night before. I was staying with my daughter and I ended up picking the Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Easton because it is in the Easton Town Center directly across the street from my conference. In this Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Easton hotel review, we’ll take a look at the cost, location, food options, wifi and amenities.
I’ll share my experience at the hotel – hopefully that can help you decide if the Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Easton Review makes sense for you for your next trip to Columbus Ohio.
Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Easton Location
The Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Easton is located at 3999 Easton Loop W, Columbus, OH 43219

Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Easton Review hotel review – Cost
I booked the Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Easton through the Capital One travel portal, to take advantage of the $300 travel credit that comes with the Capital One Venture X.

The cash cost of the room after tax was $162. I saw that points costs for similar days were ranging from 20,000 to 30,000 points.
That could make this a decent value in redeeming points. But for myself personally, because I was being reimbursed by work for this stay, I wanted to pay in cash vs. redeeming points. Of course, check rates in both cash and points before booking.
Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Easton Review – Room
The Columbus Eason Residence Inn has studio “suites” as well as true 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom suites. I had booked a 1 bedroom suite originally, but then I forgot about that when I got there. When we checked in, I asked if we could get a room with 2 double beds but I was told they don’t have any rooms like that. Worried about having to share a bed with my daughter (again), I then heard him mention that there is a sofa bed, which worked out fine.
This is a Residence Inn, so naturally it has a full kitchen with stove, fridge and dishwasher
There was a separate bedroom with a door separating it from the main room.
It appears that this Columbus Easton Town Center Residence Inn had been updated fairly recently and I appreciated the extensive electrical outlets and USB charging stations.
The bathroom was inside the bedroom. There was a small actual bathroom with toilet and shower as well as a sink between the bedroom and actual bathroom
Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Easton WiFi and Amenities
The Columbus Easton Residence Inn WiFi was decent. I had no problems streaming several episodes on Disney Plus.
In the lobby, there is a computer (no printer) that works as a bit of a business center
Also right off the lobby there is a small fitness center which seems like it was originally a conference room or something – it’s a weird place for the fitness center and also weird that it is carpeted.
There are several buildings that make up the Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Easton, surrounding a central courtyard that has a tennis court and basketball hoop as well as a firepit / grill and the large swimming pool and hot tub.
Laundry is available in all of the buildings, and there is a charge for the washers, dryers as well as the detergent.
Marriott Residence Inn Columbus Easton Review – Food
Breakfast at the Marriott Residence Inn Columbus Easton is complimentary for all guests, and when I was there (April 2022), it was slightly different from what I would expect pre-COVID. There were no COVID protocols or masks or anything, but it felt like there were fewer options than before.
There is also an overpriced “Market” area right by the front desk where you can buy a variety of food, drinks, toiletries and medicine. Love me some $8 frozen pizzas!
I did ask about the manager’s reception that many Residence Inns used to offer (aka free hotel dinner) and the clerk checking us in said that had not been back since COVID and he didn’t expect it to ever come back. I don’t know if that’s just at this particular hotel or if that’s more of a Residence Inn chain-wide policy.
Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Easton Hotel Review
My Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Easton hotel review is that it was a great stay and the location is quite convenient if you’re staying in northern Columbus. If you can find a good deal (especially on points), it makes for a great base for seeing the sights of Columbus.

Sloppy editing there, Dan! Rewriting your review of the HI in Manhattan to make it look like the Residence in Columbus.
You’ve been set a bad example by other writers/editors.
Still, as you get back into the swing of publishing again, you’ll pick up the knack.
Best, Paul, in Uithoorn in green, grey and wee bit chilly Netherlands
A fine eye for detail you’ve got there Paul! 🙂 Thanks for letting me know
