I posted this morning that the new list for Priority Club Point Breaks for November 2015, December 2015 and January 2016 was just released. If you were waiting to book the hotels, they are now available, and already I am starting to see limited availability at some hotels.
Remember that this list of 185 hotels is bookable for only 5,000 IHG points / night. IHG is a transfer partner of Chase Ultimate Rewards, and you can also buy IHG points for as low as 0.7 cents per point by using the IHG “Cash + Points” trick
When I looked at the Staybridge Suites in Plano, Texas (near Dallas), it was showing availability for only a few dates over the next couple of months.
Choosing “View Available Dates” then shows a calendar that shows no available dates AT ALL, but I believe that’s incorrect – there is still Priority Club Point Breaks availability for most dates, but I’d imagine that it’s going to fill up quickly, especially for more “aspirational” hotels.
Remember, if you are looking at the list and there’s one hotel that jumps out to you as “Wow, that would be a great redemption!”, just figure that thousands of other people are also thinking the same thing! Don’t delay – you can only book 2 reservations for each hotel, but you are able to cancel at any time and get your points back. I was trying to book a trip for some friends of mine with the LAST Priority Club Point Breaks list (it’s harder than it looks!), and when they were eventually not able to go (it would have been this week), I just canceled the reservations and my points were redeposited back in my account.
