American Airlines & her Oneworld partners are currently running a sale from all 3 major Florida airports (Miami, Tampa, and Orlando) to Germany. From mid-August through next March, flights to Frankfurt and Munich are running quite low; those dates include weekend departures and Oktoberfest (Tampa and Orlando only) and Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, Christmas and New Year’s Eve are not on sale. Lowest prices include:
- To Munich from $382
- To Frankfurt from $381
These are basic economy prices, which includes carry-on meals. Seat selection is available for a price according to Orbitz, which is probably a better deal than buying up to main economy for probably $120-$160 total. These are available from OTAs, but you’ll have to call in to the airlines if you want to book directly. If you want a chance to visit Germany these are great prices so book your trip today.

Oktoberfest 2019 starts September 21st and ends October 6th. These are really good airfares. The biggest problem (as every year) will be the hotel rooms. You have to be quick as about 3 million tourists also try to get hotel rooms. Hotels will also triple or even quadruple their prices when you’re booking just a few weeks before Oktoberfest.
Agreed. I was considering Oktoberfest earlier this year, and aside from points deals, the best options were apartmern/room rentals. Unless I wanted to stay 30+ minutes (if lucky) away from the festival grounds
