Priority Club / IHG has released its new list of IHG Point Breaks hotels that will apparently be available starting in November 24th and bookable not only for the usual 2 months, but for 3 months: through December 2014, January 2015 and February 2015. The list was posted on the IHG Rewarding Experiences page.
IHG Pointbreaks December 2014 through February 2015
My wife and I both just got the Chase IHG 80,000 point card recently, so we are flush on points for now. Between the 2 of us, we could probably stay 30 nights at some of these IHG PointBreak hotels!!!
Remember that there is a limit of 2 IHG Point Breaks reservations per person (though I’m not sure how that’s tracked or enforced). I don’t see a ton of them on this list, but typically, the more aspirational hotels go pretty quickly, so you’ll want to book them soon after they are released on November 24th (Monday) if you have your eye on any of those.
If you need to find the official list (it won’t be updated until Monday, I assume), it is here – (why is the official IHG Point Breaks list page so hard to find?!?!)
Here’s a map that has the 166 locations listed in the IHG Point Breaks December 2014 list. There may be some changes as this list is only a preview, but it should be mostly accurate.
It is color coded by brand (Holiday Inn Express is blue, Intercontinentals are purple, etc.). The complete legend is in the dropdown in the left of the map
Note that the geocoding that I used didn’t seem to be super accurate but it does appear to be mostly correct at least down to the city level. Meaning I would not count on it being accurate as to WHERE the Holiday Inn Express is in Sidney, MT, but it should be accurate as to WHERE Sidney, Montana IS (next to North Dakota, i.e. not somewhere I’d be particularly excited about spending my December or January 😀 ). If you find any markers that are horribly in the wrong places, please let me know!

Thanks for posting. Very helpful!
Awesome! Finally someone posting something useful about the pointsbreak list. Very helpful for planning any upcoming stays.
What – you mean 50 blogs all posting the same list over and over again isn’t super useful? 😀
I believe that a hotel shown in Washington State on the map is actually located in Indiana.
Thank you very much for creating this map!
Thanks! I’ve updated the map. Serves Indiana right for having a city called Washington 🙂
so, sad, Lyon seems to be booked up already in January.
Yeah the super nice hotels tend to go really fast – see IHG / Priority Club October PointBreaks now live – some hotels already sold out!
Seems like the HI near Houston is tagged at City Hall, but is actually in Alvin, about 30 mis S/SE.
A little late to the party but just wanted to write and say thanks, this map is great. Will definitely be bookmarking this site for when the next round comes out at the end of the month.
Thanks Paul – I’m glad you like it! The new Point Breaks list should come out towards the end of February and I will be making a map again!
Please put me on your email newsletter list. Thank You.
