Last summer, I kicked up my binge-watching up a bit. My dear, good friend, Crissy, suggested that I watch The Handmaid’s Tale on Hulu. “Another subscription?”, I said. Well, it’s Black Friday and I found this deal to join Hulu for $0.99 cents.
How to join Hulu for $0.99 cents per month
- Go to Hulu.com and sign up
- Hulu is offering 12-Months Hulu Subscription (Limited Commercial Plan) on sale for $0.99/month
- This offer is valid for New/Eligible Returning Subscribers only
- After your 12-Month period of $0.99 cents per month, the monthly subscription will be $7.99/month
- You may cancel anytime.
- This is a limited time offer. As of Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, there were 87 hours remaining.
I figured, I can’t go wrong with 99 cents per month. So if you’ve been meaning to join Hulu, this is an opportunity to get in on this low monthly subscription rate. Good luck.

I get the appeal of $1 per month. But gave you ever tried the “limited commercials” version of Hulu? I did once, about a year ago, and said, never again — as it suffers from many or MORE commercials than over regular air TV…. (and that’s now over 25% of air time) It also seemed the more we watched programming via HULU’s (not) “limited” commercials plan, the worse and worse it got. (almost like, “sucker!” — “we gotcha now.”)
Has HULU done anything to define or restrain “limited commercials?”
I mentioned this on an earlier reply, and you’re right, since I just tried this for the very first time, the commercials, while watching my first Hulu show for the 1st time, it didn’t bother me, but I really wished there were no commercials LOL. I selfishly joined Hulu to watch The Handmaid’s Tale, and if it gets worse, maybe I’ll opt to upgrade – we’ll see.
I wish I would have read your comment before signing up. Although it does look like you can cancel anytime. On the other hand I did sign up through the American Airlines E-shopping portal. It will be interesting to see if I get the 1500 points.
The points alone are worth the 12 bucks. The terms simply say “Plans Start at 7.99 per month”. I’ll follow up with a post on the outcome of points and commercials.
Yes, please let me know. I tried Hulu for the first time last night, and I’d have to say that while the commercials don’t bother me, we’re all just so spoiled with the way Netflix works 🙂
