A year ago, I took advantage of this deal one-day sale by going to my local Target store. Last year, you could purchase Target gift cards for 10% off. I saw a posting on Slickdeals, and I also called my local Target store and I thought I’d share it here as well.
Here’s what we know and we will continue to confirm more if we hear of any updates or changes

What’s the deal

  • Purchase Target Gift Card up to $300 value
  • Get 10% off your purchase ($30 max discount)
  • One day sale on Sunday, 12/2
  • Gift cards are redeemable beginning Monday, 12/3
  • Minimum gift card purchase is $10
  • Purchase in store (EDIT: reports are coming in that this works on Target GiftCards in-store and on Target.com)
  • Excludes purchasing Target Visa Cards, Target Mastercard gift cards, and American Express gift cards, and other gift cards issued by other retailers

We’re going to keep an eye as we hear more about this. I do remember from last year that you couldn’t stack your Target RedCard to get another 5%. If you took advantage of this deal last year, let us know how you were able to maximize your savings and points-earning potential.
