UPDATE: Click here to see a map of the IHG Pointbreaks for August 2015, September 2015 and October 2015 as well as a sortable table.

I think that IHG Point Breaks are one of the best uses of points.  Every 2-3 months, IHG releases anywhere from 130-160 hotels that are bookable for only 5000 points a night.

Note that these hotels, especially the nicer hotels, sell out FAST!  IHG is one of the hotel chains that only releases a certain number of rooms as rewards nights, and once those are gone, then not only can you not get it for the 5000 points – you can’t reserve it at ALL using points on that night

These hotels will be available to book next Monday (July 27th), but a preview of the IHG Point Breaks hotels has been published on the IHG blog here.

I see that there’s a Candlewood Suites on the list – unfortunately based on my experience, the only rooms they book for awards that they release only fit 2 people – so it’s not really feasible for a large family such as mine.

Also – I was JUST in Rock Springs, Wyoming as part of my 350,401 points vacation – too bad I missed this!
