IHG has announced a preview of the list of Point Breaks for March through May 2019. Unfortunately they only released a preview of the full list and promised the full list on Monday, when they will be bookable. You can book these Point Breaks hotels from April 30th through July 31st
As always, I will update the current IHG Point Breaks Map and sortable table page when the full list comes out but for now, here’s what we know
Up until a few months ago, all IHG Point Breaks hotels were 5000 points per night, but as we discussed earlier, now hotels on the PointBreaks list will range from 5000 to 15000 points.
IHG March, April, May 2019 Point Breaks preview
Here is a list of 4 hotels that are on the IHG Point Breaks preview list. They are all going for 15,000 points a night
- InterContinental Pattaya, Thailand (15,000 points per night)
- InterContinental Sofia, Bulgaria (15,000 points per night)
- Hotel Indigo Mount Pleasant, USA (15,000 points per night)
- Crowne Plaza Manchester – Oxford Road, UK (15,000 points per night)
If you don’t have any points right now, IHG is running a 75% bonus on buying points. While I generally don’t recommend buying points, if they’re for a specific redemption, that’s one of the 3 times buying points can make sense. Remember too that the Chase IHG credit card not only comes with 80,000 bonus points as a welcome offer, but the 4th night free on award stays. So combining those two deals could get you a 4 night stay at a Point Breaks hotel at the 5,000 point range for only $135 (less than $40 / night)
As always, I will update the current IHG Point Breaks Map and sortable table page when the full list comes out
