Into the Nights promotion is the fall promotion by the Intercontinental Hotel Group brand.
I’ve written several posts about it, starting with an introduction to how I might be able to get over 85,000 points from the promotion, to complaints about how my promo was still broken. Then, even when IHG fixed my promo, I ended up deciding not to bother with it at all! There was even a cautionary tale about reports that some users are having their IHG accounts frozen by signing up for promo codes.
So even though I have I’ve had a lot of comments talking about stays not showing up, even though the person has successfully registered for the Into the Nights promotion. Here are a few of them:
I have actually completed all the “challenges” & despite the stays/points etc. posting to my IHG activity/account, my “into the nights” tracker shows nothing. All zeros, not even anything in progress. Emailed IHG – usual canned response – 6-8 weeks for points to post. They didn’t even read my email.
Terrible but not unexpected I’m afraid.I too have stayed on several different nights, starting from Sept 5th and these have not shown. I’ve even completed the survey and the points have been credited to my account (viewed on IHG website) but this does not show on the account. Anyone else had a stay tracked?
I stayed about 10 days ago. My regular points, etc posted to IHG very quickly, but nothing showed up on my “Into the Nights” page until today. I now show a little circle next to each challenge filled in with progress (weirdly nothing at the top of the page yet). None of the “extra” points posted yet, but I am happy to see the little progress circles showing it is at least tracking properly. Again it took about 10 days after my qualifying stay was complete.
So it seems like there are definitely some people out there having some trouble getting their stays tracked on the Into the Nights promotion, with at least one report of them showing up after 10 days or so.

Same here, no progress showing for weeks, then suddenly all popped up at once. However,i’m curious about this challenge: “Download and sign in to the IHG App and book a stay.” . I downloaded, signed in and booked on the app. Progress is showing ‘1’, but the little circle is a 3rd full, (stay was 2 nights) suggesting it has only tracked 1 of ‘download’, ‘track’ or ‘book’. But another of the challenges was to book direct via IHG web or app and that has tracked. So it looks like Into The Nights has tracked ‘booked’, but not ‘download’or ‘track’. Which is very annoying!
The app activity has not shown, despite the stay having passed now as well as the booking. If they fail to sort this out it will affect my booking habits, if they cannot fix it then this needs to be added to all customers accounts.
Exact same issue with the app. I booked stays with the app – both have posted to the other “challenges” but the “book via app” challenge still shows Zero. I called customer service and they said they would get it fixed – that was a few days ago and while I have had an additional stay post since then the app challenge still remains at zero. Anybody have any examples of successfully having issues addressed?
exact same issue with Tigger and Jeff – for both my wife and my account. Stay showed up but not the book via app. Was the customer service able to fix this?
+1 for this issue. A stay has been credited for points but not showing on the Into the Nights Dashboard. They really seem to have done a terrible job of running this promo. Not sure I’ll bother next year.
Same here…stays have been credited to the other offer but the Book via App has not been updated. Called IHG Rewards got some Indian lady who was useless. She said she’ll open up a case to have a specialist review it. I just had 2 more stays this past week I’m hoping to get credit for using Book via App. The Dashboard definitely has a major lag of about 2 weeks. Even after the progress update, I still didn’t get the offer bonus points. This promo is all messed up for me.
Bummer! I’m more and more glad that I sat this promo out!
