In 2024, our family stayed at a combination Hyatt Place / Hyatt House hotel in Sacramento (either the Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas or the Hyatt Place Sacramento International Airport – they’re in the same building and share a lobby and general amenities). This Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas review will give an idea of the different amenities and features of the hotel and hopefully help you decide if you want to stay here if you’re looking for a Sacramento airport hotel.
Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas location
The Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas is located at 4850 Duckhorn Dr, Sacramento, CA 95834. This is about a 5 mile or 10 minute drive from the Sacramento International Airport (SMF).
There is a complimentary Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas shuttle
Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas cost
We booked our room at the Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas with points, costing us 9,000 points per night. The cash cost for our nights was around $200, which gives a cents per point (CPP) value of around 2.2 cents per point, which is slightly above my valuation for Hyatt points.

Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas review – room
We had reserved a room with 2 Queens and a sofa bed, which apparently was listed as an “accessible” room, though I didn’t realize that when I booked it. When we went to check in, they asked if we really wanted an accessible room, since those were intended for people with disabilities. I told the desk agent “HOW DARE YOU ASSUME I DON’T HAVE A DISABILITY – THAT IS A VIOLATION OF THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT!” (actually I just said I didn’t need an accessible room but I did want one with 2 beds and a sofa bed, which is what I had booked.
She “upgraded” me into a studio kitchen suite. It had a small kitchen area with a table when you walk in
As well as a bathroom
It had 2 queen beds and then a sofa bed
Though as I pointed out in an earlier post, the real problem is that the TV stand was bolted to the floor and too close to the sofa bed, rendering it virtually unusable.
Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas wifi and amenities
Wifi is complimentary in the lobby and in the guest rooms for World of Hyatt members. The Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas wifi speed was decent, though I did not get a picture of a speed test. There is not a separate business center, however there is a small computer and printer next to the front desk that is available for guests, if you need to print a boarding pass, directions or anything.
There are washer and dryer machines available, and it is $4 for both (!)
There is an outdoor pool, though tragically it closes at 8pm (rather early IMO). We were over at my sister’s house and decided to come back to the hotel to swim one evening, only to find that it was closed.
There is also a Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas fitness center with the basic equipment
One interesting thing at the fitness center was that they had a place where you could borrow and recycle earbuds, in case you didn’t bring any.
There is an outdoor seating area that is attached to the hotel and breakfast area, where you can eat outside if the weather is nice.
Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas hotel review – parking
The Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas parking is in a parking lot directly attached to the hotel, and is shared with the Hyatt Place hotel that is attached to the building. Parking is complimentary and we never had a problem finding a place to park.
Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas food
The Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas has several different food options. There is an “H Bar” which serves food and drinks (for an additional price) in the evening. There are plenty of seats there.
Breakfast at the hotel is complimentary for guests
One thing that I thought was interesting was that there was no meat (bacon, sausage, etc) included in the breakfast. I was told that this might be a Hyatt “High Velocity” breakfast, which Hyatt House or Hyatt Place hotels can do on the weekends when they are full or nearly full.
The seating area for breakfast was quite large and we had no trouble finding a place to eat.
Like many hotels, they have a “market” near the lobby where you can buy a variety of snacks and meals.
There is also a microwave in the lobby that you can use to heat up food.
The Bottom Line – Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas hotel review
Overall this was a decent stay if you need an Sacramento airport hotel. It was everything you are looking for in an airport hotel – comfortable beds, good breakfast and convenient location. The Hyatt House Sacramento Airport / Natomas can definitely be a great option if you’re looking for a Sacramento airport hotel.
