In 2024, I was traveling on a county trip through South and West Texas and needed an overnight stay. So after looking at a few options, I decided to book the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Laredo-Event Center. This Holiday Inn Express and Suites – Laredo review will give an idea of the different amenities and features of the hotel and hopefully help you decide if you want to stay here if you’re looking for a Laredo Texas hotel.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Laredo cost

We booked a room with points, for 23,000 points per night. The cash cost was around $120, which gives a cents per point (CPP) value of around 0.6 cents per point, which is about inline with how I value IHG points.

We had reserved a 1 King Bed room at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Laredo, which was exactly what we got.

Wifi is complimentary in the lobby and in the guest rooms for IHG members. The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Laredo wifi speed was decent and I had no issues using it

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Laredo food

The Holiday Inn Express and Suites – Laredo is similar to that of many other Holiday Inn Express hotels in the United States. There was a decent sized breakfast area near the hotel lobby

a room with tables and chairs

There were eggs, breakfast potatoes, sausage and bacon and biscuits on the day that I was there, though I imagine it is switched up each day

There was also a pancake maker, though I didn’t have any pancakes.

And of course, the famous (at least in our family!) Holiday Inn Express cinnamon rolls!

The Bottom Line – Holiday Inn Express & Suites Laredo-Event Center hotel review

Overall this was a decent stay if you are looking for a cheap Laredo hotel. We were only here for a few hours after our incredibly late arrival and then leaving in the morning to drive down to Yosemite. Still, it was everything you are looking for in an airport hotel – comfortable beds, good breakfast and super convenient hotel. It is a bit unfortunate that there is a charge for the shuttle and parking, but I understand why it’s there. The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Laredo-Event Center can definitely be a great option if you’re looking for a cheap Laredo hotel.
