Hilton Honors is expanding its partnership with LiveNation as they team up to launch an offering for members to purchase tickets in a new way. I think most of us have missed live music and events over the past year or two and hopefully more opportunities will present themselves in the future. The expansion between Hilton Honors and LiveNation could offer a new avenue to make this happen.
What Are the Offerings?
For the first time, members can use their Hilton Honors Points on Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com to access thousands of tickets to sporting events, concerts, comedy shows and theater productions. Another plus is that members can combine any amount of Points and cash to purchase tickets. The process is easy. Members simply need to connect their Hilton Honors and Ticketmaster accounts to buy tickets.
In addition, the “Experiences Platform” now includes member-only access to VIP festival packages around the world. Some of the upcoming festivals include the following:
- EDC Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV) – October 22-24, 2021
- EDC Orlando (Orlando, FL) – November 12-14, 2021
- Tortuga Music Festival (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) – November 14-16, 2021Â
The featured experiences also include some cool offers across the globe. Some of the ones that I would choose include Spa Treatments in the Maldives, Cocktails Underwater in the Maldives, Brunch in Singapore, Afternoon Tea in Shanghai and much more. To see what is available you can click here. You can also look at the “Tickets with Points” FAQ here.
Should I Do This?
The website has some compelling experiences and offers. It really boils down to how much you value Hilton Points and if you find an experience you are interested in joining. When looking at some of the festivals, the points can vary dramatically based on the event. Make sure to compare the cost in points to the cash price. The Points Guy website has a great guide to give you an idea of how much points from each program are worth. Keep in mind these are an estimate as some individuals may value points higher or lower than the TPG rate.
Conclusion
It is always nice to see loyalty programs offering new ways to use your points. The more redemption options we have available, the better!
