So Prior2Boarding launched a few weeks ago, and right around the same time was a redesign of the BoardingArea home page as well.  Rene at Delta Points has a poll going on at his blog about the new site and so far most people seem to not like it.  Personally, I like the new look, and I think it is what they call “responsive”, meaning that it also renders well on tablets and mobile phones.

boardingarea prior2boardingI’m sure you’ve probably seen them since you’re here aren’t you!?!? 😛

One feature that you may not have seen is the category feature, which is located up on the top right of the page

p2bcategoriesThe categories are different between BA and P2B.  I know that Randy and the tech team are still working on the sites, so I don’t know if that’s by design, or if those will standardize across the sites at some point soon.

As you can see, at Prior2Boarding, there are (currently) 2 categories:

The first category features the latest posts from yours truly, along with Mommy Points and Pizza in Motion.  The running category features a lot of the bloggers who have a focus on running (surprisingly enough!)

Over on Boarding Area, the categories are in the same place, but slightly different (again, I am not entirely clear if that is by design or not)

boardingareacategoriesSo there are blogs based in / focusing on different categories, as well as ones written by female authors.  There are also separate sections for things like hotel reviews and videos, and I believe one on Trip Reports is upcoming.

Anyways, I thought it was a neat feature and one you might not have seen yet – hopefully this helps!
