After getting bumped from my Delta flight, Delta put me up at the Hampton Inn & Suites Raleigh-Durham Airport-Brier Creek, which is an RDU Airport hotel about 6 minutes from the airport.
Hampton Inn & Suites Raleigh-Durham Airport-Brier Creek review – location
The Hampton Inn & Suites Raleigh-Durham Airport-Brier Creek is located at 8021 Arco Corporate Drive, Raleigh, North Carolina 27617. As I mentioned earlier, this is about a 6 minute drive from the airport. There is an airport shuttle. If you are arriving to the airport, you do need to call the hotel to have them send the shuttle – the Hampton Inn & Suites Raleigh-Durham Airport-Brier Creek hotel phone number is 919-484-0500. For departures, there is an airport shuttle that goes on the half hour and you do need to sign up at the front desk; the first airport shuttle is at 5 a.m.
Note that there are 2 Hampton Inns near the RDU airport, so if you’re heading here, make sure you get on the right shuttle!
Hampton Inn & Suites Raleigh-Durham Airport-Brier Creek pricing
With Hilton’s dynamic award pricing, the cost in Hilton Honors points varies – most dates I checked had it at 30,000 points / night. A quick sampling of dates showed prices about $150 / night per tax. As a comparison, my bill showed that Delta paid $89 for my night after they bumped me off my flight from RDU airport.
RDU Airport Hampton Inn and Suites room
I had a standard 2 queen bed room at the Hampton Inn & Suites Raleigh-Durham Airport-Brier Creek and it was as expected. In contrast to the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley hotel where I had spent the past 3 nights, I found there to be quite a bit of light in the room, both natural and electric.
There is a standard bathroom with shower

Hampton Inn & Suites RDU Brier Creek food
The Hampton Inn and Suites RDU Brier Creek has complimentary breakfast. Unfortunately I had to catch the 5 a.m. shuttle for a 6:30 a.m. flight so I missed the breakfast. I assume it was pretty standard with eggs and 1-2 meat options with cold cereal and other choices.
In theory, the Hampton Inns are supposed to have a “Breakfast to Go” available for early departures like mine. It was mentioned to me when I checked in that these would be available, but when I came down to the lobby the next morning, there were none in sight. I didn’t have the chance to mention it as I was out the door on the shuttle.
If you’re up for something more substantial, there is a full restaurant at the Embassy Suites Brier Creek RDU which is located just behind the Hampton Inn RDU Airport.
Hampton Inn & Suites Raleigh-Durham Airport-Brier Creek amenities
The Hampton Inn & Suites Raleigh-Durham Airport-Brier Creek has an indoor pool
as well as a full fitness center including free weights, a recumbent bike, 2 treadmills and 2 elliptical machines.
There are also a variety of conference rooms and a business center.
All in all, the Hampton Inn & Suites Raleigh-Durham Airport-Brier Creek was nothing amazing but fit my needs for a basic airport hotel.

The “Breakfast On The Run” bags are usually available from 5:30am to 10:30am but you should be able to get one at check in if you know you’ll be leaving before the bags are out. These are available at any Hampton Inn as they are an HI original
Yeah that makes sense. I guess in my head when I asked about breakfast and reserved the 5am shuttle that I was “asking for one” but I can see how that maybe wasn’t communicated clearly. It wasn’t a huge deal
