On our recent family trip to Nauvoo, Illinois we chose to stay across the Mississippi River in Keokuk, Iowa (Nauvoo itself is a tiny town of only about 2000 residents so there aren’t really any chain hotels). Here is my Hampton Inn Keokuk Iowa review
Hampton Inn Keokuk Iowa location
The Hampton Inn Keokuk Iowa is located at 3201 Main St, Keokuk, IA 52632. It is on the west side of Keokuk, about 3 or 4 miles west of the Mississippi River and the downtown area. If you’re staying at the Hampton Inn Keokuk Iowa because you’re visiting Nauvoo (we saw several groups in addition to ourselves that appeared to be doing just that), it takes about 20-30 minutes to travel the 15 miles from Nauvoo to the Hampton Inn Keokuk Iowa.
Hampton Inn Keokuk Iowa price
The Hampton Inn Keokuk Iowa is a Category 3 Hilton hotel which means that it costs 20,000 Hilton points / night to book. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights, for a total of 80,000 points. It does not appear to me that this Hilton is doing dynamic award pricing – it was 20,000 points on every night that I could see.
I saw cash prices as low as $89 / night all the way up to $149 / night, depending on the dates.

Hampton Inn Keokuk Iowa review – room
We stayed in a room at the Hampton Inn Keokuk in a 2 queen bed room.
The room had a small TV as well as an area with a work desk.
The bathrooms are in the front of the room off to the side
Hampton Inn Keokuk food
The Hampton Inn Keokuk offers complimentary breakfast every morning and they even set out a table for 8 for us 🙂
Breakfast was your typical fare with a few hot dishes, a waffle maker, and a variety of continental items and juice
Our family definitely prefers the mini waffle configuration over the giant waffle, just because it means that they are more likely to actually get eaten. Though we definitely prefer the hotels with pancake makers even more
Hampton Inn Keokuk Iowa review – amenities
The Hampton Inn Keokuk Iowa has the typical hotel amenities. The indoor swimming pool was located on the first floor next to the fitness center
We had a great stay at the Hampton Inn Keokuk Iowa – as I mentioned earlier, it’s 20,000 Hilton points per night or you can check prices for your dates or read other reviews at TripAdvisor

Looks like your stay was better than mine. I was NOT impressed with the breakfast or upkeep there however the location is very good. The newer Townplace is a bit better I think.
Keokuk has more like 9,000 people not 2000. That’s is my home.
I was talking about Nauvoo Illinois having a population of 2,000. Keokuk is a bit bigger as you mention
