Last December I wrote about the vacation offer I received for the new Westin Nanea Ocean Villas in Maui, which was scheduled to open in summer 2017. Well, it looks like the opening date has been pushed up and is now scheduled for April, just one month away. I have received some questions about how to get targeted for the special offer, unfortunately I really have no idea.

Ouch are they making you use all those points and then require the timeshare presentation? I received an offer for around $899 to stay at the resort under the same conditions, but you have to go to a presentation…
I don’t think the SPG Moments package requires attending a presentation. I had the $899 offer and booked it for June. That is only for just one bedroom and there are no spa treatment and no in-villa dining, unlike the SPG Moments package. 😉
We just took advantage of the offer at the Westin Kanapaali which is right next door. You actually do not have to attend the presentation. We did because they offered us a number of gifts including an additional 7,000 SPG points. The presentation only lasted 90 minutes as stated and when we said no, they just said thanks and good-bye. No pressure at all. I’m not sure I’d care to stay at Nanea for a while. There is still alot of construction and I doubt the pool are will be ready in a couple of weeks which would mean walking over to the other property. However, if the price is right…. 🙂
I sure hope they will be more ready in June when I go there! Took the $899 offer instead of using 48,000 points at the Westin Maui.
