Ask most travel hackers about Disney trips and you will get a blank stare. Hacking a Disney vacation is supposed to be notoriously difficult. However, as Walt put it himself, “it is kind of fun to do the impossible!”
As the resident travel hacker at TravelingMom.com and on my own web site TheDealMommy.com, I have spent years planning and helping others plan Disney vacations. I’ve seen Disney planning questions on Google lead to my answers. Along the way, I have learned a thing or ten about how to maximize the fun and minimize the expense.
Disney World Hacks is for people who want to maximize their Disney World experience without emptying their pockets and spending hundreds of hours planning the trip. The book covers both planning and on-the-ground hacks that will save you time and money.
I am here to give you a ground level, no bull, action-oriented set of tips and tricks that will save you time and money on what can be the most stressful trip you might ever plan. The 114 pages in the book cover items that anyone can do without having to become fluent in Disney-speak.
About the Author
Dia Adams is a real-life Mom of two kids in the DC Metro area. She is creator of The Deal Mommy, a successful family travel community, and is the travel hacking expert on Traveling Mom, the nation's largest family travel network.
Between growing up foreign service and working in consulting, she built up a serious love of travel that included visiting over 40 countries and living in Thailand, China, and Ireland (where her son was born). Her love of travel is only eclipsed by her love of all things Disney. After two kids came along, she struggled to balance her passion for travel with the realities of, well, real life with two kids. Dia has been able to show her kids the world while still maintaining her savings and sanity.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2018The author has some wonderful tips on where to stay in Disney, where to shop, saving money on parking and many more. I read her book several times before my recent trip to Disney. Although mine was an adult trip, her tips were very helpful and useful. Following her directions I was able to go to one of the Disney owned outlets and purchase gifts for my grandchildren and the prices were great. If you are going and into saving money/time hacks, you NEED to get this book
- Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2018Awesome hints you'll want to read to give you an insider track for first time visitors . Worth every penny you spend!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2017Most of these books cover the same old stuff if you are a Disney veteran. But not this book! I’ve been to Disney over 15 times in the last 20 years and thought I knew it all. Dia covers info for beginners and veterans alike. We all love Disney, just not the hefty price tag. From hotels to great food recommendations, this book has just enough of the right info so you save a ton, and don’t get overwhelmed. You won’t regret this purchase.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2018I LOVE reading Disney "tips"or "hacks" books. But most of them usually have info about hotels, air fare, transportation, etc and that takes up most of the book. This is one of those books. It was just okay for me. If someone is starting from scratch this is probably a good book for them.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2018Pretty informative but some of the information may be outdated soon.....WDW resorts will be charging for parking in the very near future for instance. Also, even though the author isn't a fan of the dining plan I am sure there are some awesome opportunities for hacking it(especially if your party is staying in more than one room).
- Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2018I've know this author for years and what I can honestly write is that she cuts right through the fluff and gets to the heart of WDW hacking. As a self-proclaimed Disney nerd, I enjoyed reading her tips and tricks for getting the most out of your vacation, and how to save some serious cash. Would recommend to both planning newbies and seasoned travelers.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2018Even this avid Disney researcher and reader of things Disney learned several new things! I was very excited with the information I received.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2018This was an unexpected waste of money. Nothing here I couldn't get from reading a few blogs, and short - I finished the book in less than an hour. Not much to dig into.
