11/18 – If you missed this before – you have a few days left to take advantage of these shopping deals as they all expire 11/20 (Sunday)
One of my miles and points sayings is that it’s important to get your miles and points from several sources. While most of my miles come from credit card signup bonuses, another potentially lucrative source of miles is making your online purchases through shopping portals

All of the shopping portal sites are run by the same company (Cartera), so it’s not really a huge surprise when many of them run similar promotions at the same time. Just like last year, there are FOUR very similar “holiday shopping” promotions being run at different shopping portals. They have different promotions and expire on different times.
United shopping portal bonus
The first one is run by United and runs through November 20th at 11:59pm ET
- 500 bonus miles for qualifying purchases of at least $150
- 2,500 bonus miles for qualifying purchases of at least $750
- 5,000 bonus miles for qualifying purchases of $1,500 or more
American shopping portal bonus
American shopping portal bonus has the same portal payouts, but runs through November 22nd
- 500 bonus miles for qualifying purchases of at least $150
- 2,500 bonus miles for qualifying purchases of at least $750
- 5,000 bonus miles for qualifying purchases of $1,500 or more
Alaska shopping portal bonus
Next up is Alaska, whose shopping portal bonus also runs through November 22nd, but only has a maximum of 3000 bonus miles
- Spend $150, get 500 bonus miles
- Spend $500, get 1500 bonus miles
- Spend $1000, earn 3000 bonus miles
Originally I thought Delta and Southwest would eventually have offers, but it looks like those 2 brands did not participate
Happy shopping everyone!

I think I’d rather just spend $4,000 on travel, if I am spending $4,000.
