We’ve already covered savings deals on Amazon using Chase and American Express points, and now it’s Citibank’s turn to get into the game with a deal that you can save $15 off a purchase of $100 at Amazon when you use at least 1 ThankYou point. (affiliate link here and all other Amazon links).
Here are the links to the Amex and Chase deals to check out if you haven’t done the deal already
- Shop at Amazon and get $15 off when you redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards
- $30 off of $60 at Amazon when you use 1 American Express Membership Rewards point
It looks like this deal may have gone live a few weeks ago but this is the first that I had heard of it so we’re posting it here in case there are others out there that can take advantage of. My guess is that it’s targeted though it worked for both my wife and I.
How to get $15 off at Amazon when paying with at least 1 ThankYou point
First of all, you need to activate the offer. I saw the offer as an ad when browsing on Amazon, but there is a promotion page that you can check out as well
It probably goes without saying to smart people like you, but generally speaking, it is not a good value to use your Amex, Chase or Citi points at Amazon. Simply pay with a ThankYou point eligible card and add just 1 ThankYou point.
Good luck and happy shopping!
