Frontier Airlines has always advertised their prices for 1-way flights. That let them advertise $19 fares and other eye-popping deals, but didn’t help much if you needed to fly home too.
Their sale page was always slightly clunky, with pictures of each city advertising the deals. That meant you could only see a few fares at a time, leading to a lot of scrolling and hunting.
But Frontier has changed their advertising, and is now showing prices for round trip fares. I’m a fan of this change; not only are most bookings round trip, but Frontier’s sale fares are usually the same between cities in a pair. Also if you weren’t flying on sale days, it encouraged buyers to look for other ways home, which is probably not good from a business standpoint.
Right now Frontier isn’t really running a sale, but are showing some good fares between cities. The new discount page shows regions available…
…and once you click through you see round trip options for each region.
At the bottom of the page you have an option for choosing a city for travel.
Frontier hasn’t emailed any sale announcements since Christmas, presumably while they were redesigning the sale page. However, there are still deals to be had, including Wichita to Denver starting at $39 round trip from March until May. Several dozen other deals are available as well.
As more Frontier sales return, I’ll be sure to post them here on our site.
