At various points over the last year, Frontier has offered the “Friends Fly Free” promotion, a “buy one, get one free” sale for member of its discount program, the “Discount Den.” With the code FLYFREE members get a free matching ticket for select days of the week except Friday and Sunday during the sale travel window. Membership in the Discount Den program isn’t free; it’s a subscription model for $59.99. However, members get access to the “Kids Fly Free” promotion as well, which provides a free ticket for kids 14 and under with each adult ticket purchase. Plus, Discount Den Savings ($1 – $10/flight) can be used on up to 6 passengers per itinerary, which is great for family travel. But even if you aren’t already a member, you can join online any time; that makes this promotion like getting companion passes for as many flights as you can book before the sale ends, for a single $69 purchase. FFF routes may overlap with the current $29 deal promotion available through May 18, for even more savings.
The Friends Fly promotion is not nationwide, but it is good on scores of routes in Frontier’s network. The full list of options is on the promotion page. The travel window is between now and June 12 for some routes, and June 18 through August 28 on others; 7-day advance purchase requirements are listed. While this promotion is good through the height of summer travel, there are more restrictions than normal, so read the terms and conditions on Frontier’s promotions page for all required information. This is a flash sale, so purchase membership in the Den and your tickets by May 19 (presumably 11:59 PM EST) to take full advantage.
