Earlier this month, Southwest announced four new nonstop service to the Caribbean. One of them is between Fort Lauderdale and Grand Cayman, starting June 4, 2017. Flights went on sale this week and fare is fantastic! You can fly Southwest to Grand Cayman for less than 8,700 points roundtrip!
Southwest flights to and from Grand Cayman
Southwest runs one daily flight between Fort Lauderdale and Grand Cayman in each direction. The schedules are as following:
- Flight #1215, departing Fort Lauderdale at 11:45am, arriving Grand Cayman 12:20pm
- Flight #1216, departing Grand Cayman 1:15pm, arriving Fort Lauderdale 4pm.

Grand Cayman is a great family destination
Grand Cayman is a wonderful island for a family vacation! You would be on the famous seven-mile beach within half an hour after clearing custom. The island is known for snorkeling, scuba diving, Stingray City and much more! My family spent a week on the island in summer 2015 and it was our first trip to the Caribbean. We loved every minute of our week there and can’t wait to go back!

Any suggestions for a places to stay with an infant
Along 7-mile beach, there are Westin, Marriott, Kimpton and Ritz Carlton. There are also Comfort Suites and Holiday Inn Resort, whose rooms are equipped with refrigerator and microwave (Holiday Inn even has suites with full kitchen and washer/driver). You can also consider renting a condo through VRBO or AirBNB and there are lots of condos along 7-mile beach.
