News broke on the Points With a Crew Slack channel overnight about a gift card sale going on at Sams Club today. While discounted gift cards to places that you use are always a good deal, I tend to look for ones that might work for gift card arbitrage

Of course, whether a deal is “worth it” or not to you depends on where you can sell the gift cards. I have been selling most of my cards over on The Plastic Merchant, which seems to be working well for me.
Here is a rundown on some of the deals going on at Sams Club
Itunes $100 cards
First off is a sale on $100 Itunes cards
At $84.47, that is a moneymaker for me, so I bought the full limit of 10 per member.
Papa Johns gift cards
Papa Johns gift cards have been on sale in-club for awhile – 2 $25 cards for $39.98, but the one day sale has the cards down to $34.98 (in-store only).
That’s 70% of face value, and a potential money maker. One word of caution is that the amount of Papa Johns cards on the resale market has exploded lately, so I’d be cautious about selling them on Raise or anywhere else that you have to wait to sell.
A few other possible deals
- O’Charley’s – 2 $25 cards for $39.98 or $34.98 in-store. Many places buying at 70%
- Buca di Beppo – 4 $25 cards for $69.98 online. Many places buying at 70%
- Build a Bear – 4 $25 cards for $69.98 online. GiftCardBin buying at 65%
- Fuddruckers – 2 $25 cards for $39.98 online or $34.98 instore
Good luck and happy gift card buying!

Why post a deal for the 12th on the 13th?
I did post it on the 12th (yesterday). If you’re reading from the email list, you’re a day behind
Was this really for yesterday? I drove down to Sam’s club and renewed a membership just for this deal. Saw no cards, but came back to buy online. And all this time the post was about yesterday’s deal? Am I missing something–didn’t you email this out today?
