This was originally posted back in September, but 18 new northern cities have been opened up as origination points since then, so I thought it was worth another look.  You can pick up a car in any of those cities (in Virginia, DC, New York and points further north) and drop off in Florida for only $9.99 / day

I have written before several times about the availability of both fall one way car rental deals as well as cheap one way car rentals in the spring.  The basic idea is that during the winter, more rental cars are needed in warmer states like Florida and Arizona, while in the summer, the rental cars are needed throughout the country (so comparatively more cars needed in the northern parts of the US).icon-hertz

I actually maintain a comprehensive list of one way car rental discount codes, both so there is one place to go to check for one way car rental deals as well as to see which companies have historically offered these one way car rentals (and when).  I have added the below deal to the page

Hertz fall one way car rental TO Florida (and Atlanta)

Via The Deal Mommy (who is one of my go to sources for one way car rental deals), Hertz is offering a deal for $9.99 / day car rentalsInvalid request error occurred. going TO Florida as well as Atlanta.  You can rent Economy through Full Size cars (or convertibles?!), and the rental period is good for up to 14 days
