Delta has returned with this week’s SkyMiles award sale, and there are some good options here for summer travel. Discounts are for round trip main cabin fares, meaning seat selection is included, and checked bags for overseas travel. These weekly deals are generally on specific routes and not system-wide sales. That said, you can find some good deals, especially since Delta removed their award chart and has made driving SkyMiles value to 1 cent a corporate goal. So it’s possible to get almost 2 cents/mile on specific dates for, say Minneapolis to London, but you can still end up stuck with “SkyPeso” value if you’re not careful.
