Current IHG Point Breaks map and sortable table

Historically, one of the best deals in miles and points is the IHG Point Breaks promotion.  Also known as Priority Club Point Breaks, it’s a list of about ~150 hotels that IHG releases every few months that can be booked for (much) lower than their regular prices.  It used to be that all IHG PointBreaks hotels cost only 5000 IHG points / night, but starting with the January 2018 list, PointBreaks hotels will be worth 5,000, 10,000 or 15,000 points.  Since you can always buy IHG points for (at worst) 0.7 cents, this makes each night’s stay cost a maximum of $35, $70 or $105 / night

Since there are usually at least a couple of Intercontinental or really nice hotels on the list, you’re definitely getting your money’s worth!  The only downside is that if you want one of these more “aspirational” hotels, you’ll need to book fast – they will sell out fast.  The other downside is if you want to book a hotel that is on the Point Breaks list, once the Point Breaks are sold out, then that means you can not book the hotel on points at ALL (even at the “regular” price)

The official IHG Point Breaks list is kept on IHG’s website, and it is updated (hotels are removed) as availability disappears.  It will typically show the previous quarter’s hotels until the new hotels are bookable.
