I know that this is not necessarily TRAVEL related, but just look at it in that any money you were planning on using to eat lunch or dinner tomorrow you can now spend on more travel! Plus, it’s my blog and I’ll write what I want to 😛
Tomorrow (Tuesday) is Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A! This is a long-standing family tradition over here. Officially the rules state that if you are in full cow costume from head to toe you get a meal, while if you are in “partial” costume you just get a entree (sandwich). Personally, I’ve never had a problem getting the full meal without going through a super amount of effort. We have a few cow things in the basement that we pull out for such occasions, and there are also cow spots / tails / accessories on the #CowAppreciationDay website.
Last year we were actually on the road (see? traveling!) for my brother’s wedding, but we stopped at a mall in Charleston, West Virginia
His wedding was actually at the Mountain Lake Lodge – site of the movie Dirty Dancing, so that was nice. ALMOST as nice as FREE Chick-Fil-A!
Even though my wife is a vegetarian, she gets to dress up too for an extra sandwich! (she got to eat her own fries though) 😛 Here’s a shot of (almost) the whole family in full cow attire costume from a few years ago.
Have you ever taken part in Cow Appreciation Day?
