Earlier this month, I detailed my most recent credit card signups

Before I start, let me repeat my disclaimer:
Before signing up for a ton of credit cards is that you go slow, understand what you’re doing, and only go as fast as you are comfortable with.  Don’t sign up for a credit card just because some guy on the Internet says you should!!!Â
While I was instantly approved for several of the cards, 3 of the cards (Amex SPG Business, Chase Marriott Business and Citi Prestige that showed up as the dreaded “Pending”
Resolving my pending credit card applications
I wrote last week that Not calling the reconsideration line had worked again! – my Citi Prestige card had been approved without my having to do anything and the card had arrived in the mail.
Today, I got 2 more notices in the mail
First of all – Carolyn’s SPG Business Card was also approved automatically without having to call which was great because if there’s anything that she hates more than calling credit card companies, it’s calling credit card companies about her “business”

Chase Marriott Business card application reconsideration
The other piece of mail I got was from Chase, who sent me a letter saying
Thank you for your interest in our Business Card credit card program

So, sounds like a call to Chase is now warranted – I’ll have to give them a call this week. Â I have heard anecdotally that they are cracking down on business applications. Â Thankfully, I actually do have a real business with actual revenue, so I’m hoping things will go smoothly

I recently applied for a chase sw business card and was required to submit the irs ein letter for the business and to be sure the business address on my application matched that address.
Why do you need to call? Just send in the documentation requested then wait for a reply. Unless you want to call to get it going faster. I got the same request for documentation so I just sent it in and waited. Got approved without talking to anyone. It did take a while so it’s up to you on how fast you want the card.
I guess I was figuring I could get an email address or something I could scan and send them in rather than putting them in the mail. You’re right though – just sending it in could work too
Send docs and avoid call at all costs. I didn’t wait for that option and called. Worst recon call ever. I finally got approved after 25 min. of grilling about why so many apps, credit cards, etc. Same qs over and over, put on hold about 3 or 4 times. BTW, I have full time law practice, office, ein, significant income, 28 years of biz. tax returns and excellent credit. This was 100% chase cracking down on those with lots of apps. Oh, and I BANK with Chase! I would have loved the option you’ve been offered.
Your link says Chase Ink, content says Marriott
Yes – I typed Ink earlier because I had Ink on the brain! The correct card is the Marriott business card
Same for me with Chase Ink.
