I’m the first to admit that I’m pretty unfamiliar with Capital One. In fact, I just acquired the Venture card a little over a month ago, its 50,000 point sign up bonus and transferable currency finally convincing me to take the plunge. So it was with great joy that I heard Capital One has added yet another transfer partner to the lineup.

As of today, Capital One Venture and Spark cardholders can now transfer their points to JetBlue at a ratio of 2:1. And in honor of the new partnership Capital One is offering a 50% bonus on transferred points. That brings the ratio down to 1.5:2. This offer is good through May 31, 2019, so if you’re looking to transfer do it sooner rather than later.

JetBlue’s redemption system is revenue based, much like US carrier Southwest Airlines, so you’re not going to find any crazy outsized value here. You’ll likely find better value on one of its other partners, shown below:

Partner Transfer Ratio
Aeromexico Club Premier 2 : 1.5
Air Canada Aeroplan 2 : 1.5
Air France KLM Flying Blue 2 : 1.5
Alitalia MilleMiglia 2 : 1.5
Cathay Pacific Asia Miles 2 : 1.5
Avianca LifeMiles 2 : 1.5
Emirates Skywards 2 : 1
Etihad Airways Etihad Guest 2 : 1.5
EVA Air Infinity MileageLands 2 : 1.5
Finnair Plus 2 : 1.5
Hainan Airlines Fortune Wings Club 2 : 1.5
JetBlue TrueBlue 2 : 1
Qantas Frequent Flyer 2 : 1.5
Qatar Airways Privilege Club 2 : 1.5
Singapore Airlines Krisflyer 2 : 1

Thoughts

I’m glad to see Capital One continuing to add transfer partners, and while there isn’t anything right now that I’m super crazy about, it’s good to see the bank adding value to their points. JetBlue is an awesome airline (Mint, anyone?) and the transfer bonus makes this proposition a lot more valuable.

Who’s your favorite Capital One transfer partner? Are you planning on taking advantage of this?
