Now through October 19th, transfer your ThankYou Points to JetBlue with a 25% bonus! Typically, you can transfer Citi ThankYou Points to JetBlue at a 1:1 ratio, in increments of 1,000 points.
JetBlue is a fantastic option for points bookings, and one of my personal favorites. Like Southwest Rapid Rewards, TrueBlue Points are relatively fixed to a dollar value. Cheaper flights = less points. If you can take advantage of this offer, you’ll be getting great value out of your hard-earned Citi points, especially when redeeming for Mint class service. Often these expensive flights offer a bit better value per point than regular fares do.
Don’t Forget to Check the Fine Print!
Pretty normal stuff here:
- Promotion Period: ThankYou Point Transfers to TrueBlue completed between 09/22/2019 12:00 AM ET and 10/19/2019 11:59 PM ET.
- You will receive 25% more TrueBlue points for ThankYou Points transferred during the Promotional Period. For example, if you transfer 1,000 ThankYou Points, you will receive a total of 1,250 TrueBlue points.
- In order to transfer ThankYou Points to TrueBlue points using the Points Transfer feature on thankyou.com, you must be a TrueBlue member, and the first and last names on your ThankYou account and your TrueBlue membership must match.
Usually you’ll see the points in your TrueBlue account instantly, but transfers can be held up occasionally. Don’t forget, you’ll need a premium Citi card in order to transfer your points. I have the Citi ThankYou Premier, which along with the Citi ThankYou Prestige, unlocks the ability to transfer your points to to Citi’s airline partners.
JetBlue also partners with Capital One and American Express for points transfers, but Citi is by far the best partner. With a regular 1:1 ratio, they beat out the other two banks by a wide margin. AmEx is only 1:0.8 and Capital One is an excruciating 2:1!
As always, I can’t in good conscience recommend anybody transfer their points without a specific reason in mind, but I may just break that rule this time. JetBlue is a great option for me with my proximity to Boston Logan. If you live near a JetBlue hub, make sure you consider this promotion!

JetBlue actually gives less value per point when it comes to redeeming them for mint class instead of economy. It’s sad, but I usually see about $0.011/point value or so for Mint redemptions now. Coach can be $0.014/point value or so.
