Southwest Airlines is back with another nationwide sale. Much like February’s sale, there are one-way sale fares from over 80 airports, for flights in May and June. While $59 is officially the lowest fare price, I generally find at least a few rates below the stated sale floor during searches (see below for an example), so better bargains are out there. Sadly, after the blowout launch sale for Hawaiian flights a few weeks ago, discounted fares to the islands are not included in this sale. As Southwest holds sales once or twice per month, it will be interesting to see if flights to Hawaii are ever included, or if the airline will hold separate sales for Hawaii.

Whenever Southwest hosts a sale, make sure you check any existing flights you have already purchased. Southwest has no change fees, and if the sale price is lower you will receive a credit for the difference usable for future SWA fares. Plus, if you are unsure after you buy one of these flights, remember that any fare marketed in the US is free to cancel within 24 hours. These fares are valid for travel May 7 – June 12th domestically, though international travel is much more limited than usual and is only good through May 16th. If you’re going, make sure you buy/recheck prices quickly: sale ends on March 28th at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
