So a few days ago, Starwood launched a sweepstakes where you can play 2 times (per SPG account) called Tap into Luxury.
You get 2 spins per account. It’s interesting to see the different resort-style hotels that Starwood has, but so far I am striking out on winning anything and have frankly given up playing most days.
According to the rules, in addition to the grand prize of 250,000 Starpoints which obviously I won’t win, there are:
- Free Night Award: 195 Awards available for any SPG-participating Category 1–5 hotel or resort. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) is US$145.00. Award will be available in the SPG member’s account within three (3) weeks from the Game Period end date.
- Starpoints® Award: 390 Awards available. 500 Starpoints: ARV US$12.50; 1,000 Starpoints: ARV US$25.00; 5,000 Starpoints: ARV US$125.00. Starpoints will be added to SPG member’s account within three (3) weeks from the Game Period end date. Use and expiration of Starpoints is pursuant to the terms and conditions of the SPG program.
- iTunes® US$50.00 Gift Card: 156 Awards available. Gift Card will be fulfilled by mail within four (4) weeks from Game Period end date. Prize only available to U.S. residents with a mailing address in the U.S.
- $50.00 Ticketmaster Cash Code: 975 Awards available. Cash Code will be fulfilled via immediate confirmation email upon winning. Prize only available to U.S. residents.
So…. has anybody actually won anything?

Nope. I’ve been wondering the same thing… Curious to see if anyone has had better luck.
Yeah – losing every day sure has sucked out any of my excitement to actually play…
Did win one of the $50 ticketmaster credits.
My husband won 5000 SPG points.
Wow! That’s awesome. At least it’s not a scam :-). I keep consoling myself telling myself every time I lose that SURELY I will the grand prize of 250,000 SPG points….
I keep telling myself that too because I have not won anything. Surely only one of us can get the grand prize 🙂
I also won the $50 Ticketmaster credit the very first time I played. Nothing since.
Did win one of the free nights the first time I played and nothing since
Won a free night – aleady posted to my account – must be used by 3/31/15. Quite honestly I was shocked that I won.
Wow! That’s awesome!
Won a free night. Must be used by 3/31/15
got the $50 ticketmaster code on the game.
Yes – I won 500 SPG points. Not much, but something!
They should give out something small – like 50 points or even less each time you play. At least you don’t feel like you’ve wasted your time (completely). Congrats to you though!
I won a ticketmaster $50 credit and then saw that you can only win once per contest – if you read the T&E, so I stopped playing.
Never won with any of these SPG Games, including the ones the last couple of years.
A reader of my site posted today that he had won 500 points
No, but got the next best thing.
I recently checked my SPG account and found that I was double credited for Crossover Rewards points, to the tune of 8,600 points. I brought this to their attention and received the following reply:
Dear Mr. Chocolate,
Thank you for your email regarding your Starwood Preferred Guest account and credit from the Crossover Rewards promotion.
Upon reviewing your account I do see that you were given the same amount of Starpoints (4,319) twice. The specific flights that each posting is in regards to is different. Mr. Chocolate, I have not asked for this matter to be investigated. Should those Starpoints be for the same flight you are welcome to think of those Starpoints as a goodwill gesture. We appreciate your dedication and look forward to your upcoming stays with us.
If we can be of further assistance, please reply to this email. If you prefer, you may also chat with us online or follow this link to have us call you. Please fill out our customer service feedback survey and let me know if the customer service you received today met your expectations.
It pays to be polite and honest.
LOL that is awesome!
A few days ago (it was this week) I won 500 points. Yeah! Not much, but better than nothing. Congrats to those who won a free night, that’s awesome. Something I am dreaming of for the remaining days.
Of course, in addition to the grand prize, which will be mine 😉
Hey now! That’s mine!
How funny! Reading this reminded me to play today; after losing each time like everyone else, I just won a $50 iTunes gift card
nothing for me, nor the last one they did a year ago
Nothing so far…
Nothing yet but I’m spinning 2x a day anyway! BTW, the promo is working because I REALLY want to go to Bora Bora now. 🙂
Haven’t won anything myself – was beginning to think it was a scam until now! 🙂
