Here’s a new offer from American Express. Check your account if you received this targeted Amex Offer and you could earn additional American Express Membership Rewards. Hat tip goes to my travel buddy, Francisco V., for sharing this Amex Offer info with me.
What’s the deal
- Offer is valid when you make payments on your US wireless telephone service
- Payments may be made online, via mobile app or by phone
- If you have this targeted offer, make sure to click ADD TO CARD, thus triggering the offer
- Restrictions apply, review offer terms
- Offer is good thru 8/31/18
When you make a single online cell phone bill payment of $100+, you’ll get an additional 1,000 Membership Rewards. There is a limit of 2,000 points, so that tells me you can make two separate payments of $100+, as long as you do this before 8/31/18.
How do you check for Amex Offers
You can check these from your desktop computer (scroll down under Recent Transactions and you’ll see Amex offers and benefits), or using your smartphone, once you’re in the Amex app, you’ll see Offers in the bottom of the screen.

- If interested in using an offer, you have to click Add to Card
- Follow the instructions, restrictions do apply (expiration date, what you can or cannot buy, places where you can or cannot use the offer)
- Offers come in a form of credit or in some cases, additional Amex Membership Rewards Bonus (could be found on cards that offer MRs)
- Credits or bonuses don’t always post immediately, some could take weeks. Read the details of the offer.

I think anytime something is mentioned about cell phone, you should discuss the Uber card, that costs zero, insures your cell phones if you are on autopay, plus the Netflix discount. Not to mention 4x on food.
