Amazon Prime Day happens once per year in July and offers some of the biggest deals out there across a wide variety of different types of products. Perhaps to fill the gap between Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday, Amazon has announced Amazon Prime Big Deal Days. I first wrote about this back in August, but am mentioning it again as Amazon has now announced when Prime Big Deal Days is – it will be October 10th and 11th.
It’s always a bit hit or miss to decide what things are actually on sale rather than just “deals”. As always, take a look and only purchase what things make the most sense for you. Extra Amazon Prime Big Deal Days
Amazon recently announced that they are going to be starting a new promotion in October called Prime Big Deal Days. They are marketing it as an alternative to (addition to) Amazon Prime Day which just happened earlier this summer. They haven’t yet announced when exactly in October it will be or much of the details yet. Still, it’s something to keep in mind as you prepare for your fall shopping, especially for big-ticket items. I know that many people look for / wait for Black Friday deals before buying some of these big-ticket items, since they often go on sale during Black Friday. So the new Prime Big Deal Days in October may be an option for that.
Current Amazon Deals
Here are a few of the current Amazon Prime Big Deal Days deals that you might find interesting. Some of these deals are “invite only” deals, which seems to be a relatively new thing that Amazon is trying. The way that the invite only deals work is that if you’re interested, you can “request an invite” (you have to be an Amazon Prime member). Then, if your request is approved, you’ll get an email or mobile push notification during the Prime Big Deals Event in a few weeks. It’s not clear to me how many invites will be sent out (they say not all invites will be approved) – I assume that this is a way to limit capacity so resellers don’t get all the best deals.
As always, you can check out the current Amazon deals or the Prime Big Deal Days page to see what might interest you.
More Ways To Save Money at Amazon
Amazon often has promotions where you can get a percentage or dollar value off a purchase by using at least 1 credit card point (like Chase Ultimate Rewards, American Express Membership Rewards, etc). These deals are typically targeted, but it’s a good idea to regularly check if you’re eligible, because these deals come around quite a bit. Note that it is generally a bad value to use your points to shop at Amazon, but it’s definitely worth using 1 point to save $20 – $50.

Good luck and happy shopping
