I read on the Flight Deal last night about some amazing deals on American Airlines from several US cities to Bogota Colombia. Â It appears that originally this is attacking United in its hubs and focus cities, as the fare appears to be from Newark, Washington DC, San Francisco, Denver, Houston and Cleveland. Â I also have seen good fares from American hubs like Dallas and Miami.
I have seen them for many dates throughout the next year or so (but not during the Christmas / New Year’s holiday time)
Here’s an example of a $95 one-way from Cleveland to Bogota.
As opposed to Delta and United, American is still giving miles for the total flown miles, so you’ll earn 1 American AAdvantage mile for every mile flown. Â CLE-DFW-BOG as shown above would earn 3,459 miles (plus any bonuses for status)
US Citizens do not need a visa to go to Colombia for stays under than 90 days.
As always, act fast! Â I’m not sure that this is a “mistake fare”, but it’s certainly a GREAT one, and one to take advantage of ASAP. Â If it’s gone by the time you read this, check out these guides to make sure you don’t miss out on the NEXT amazing fare sale

i found fares from 353 from PHX to Bogota
is that what is called a mileage run?
It could be. $353 is too high for me for a mileage run, but yes, a mileage run is loosely defined as taking a trip primarily (or solely) to earn miles or status
