Alaska Air has launched a 72-hour flash sale for fall travel. Some routes are showing excellent, “is this Frontier?” like prices, which is an excellent offer. Don’t be fooled by the short list on the main sale page: selecting a city from the drop down brings up more options. HFares to/from Hawaii are also included; while not beating some recent sales, they are lower than current standard prices by many airlines in many cases. Note that prices are one-way.
Alaska offers both Saver (basic economy) and main cabin fares during sales, which is a great opportunity to “buy up” at an effective rate. I’ve highlightted main cabin fares below, since getting seat choice and Alaska miles is worth a few extra bucks in my book. These fares require 21-day advanced purchase. But this is a flash sale and you must buy before 11:59 Pacific Time on August 8th for these prices.
Sample Main Cabin Fares
- San Jose to Burbank from $39
- San Francisco to Albuquerque from $79
- Boston to Los Angeles from $139
- Oakland to Kona form $189
- Seattle to Maui from $224
How to Book
- Visit the airline to search for sample dates and destinations
Travel Dates
- Travel valid 9/4/19 – 12/18/19
- Blackout dates are from November 21, 2019 to December 02, 2019
- No minimum stay required
Good luck and happy flying!
